    Hi,

I have called 1901 twice this morning only to be cut off both times. I placed an order back in July for FTTH. After I placed the order I was told the service couldn't be installed yet as there was more work that needed to be carried out before my line would be ready for FTTH. I was told this would be done in September and then I was told it wouldn't be until October. Can I pm someone the order number and get an update on where it's currently at?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Having had Eir reps come to the door saying FTTH is available to me but here I am 6 months later still waiting. I've had posts here and numerous phone calls to be told the exact same thing for 6 months. I am told "The DP is inactive" or "There is an infrastructure issue". So this begs the question why come to my door telling me it's available. Well the answer I got today from the rep on the phone was "Sure that's salesmen for you they'll just tell you what you want to hear" and when I questioned him on if he was telling me that the reps were just going door to door lying to customer the response given was "What can I say that's what the feet on the street do"

So needless to say this is not exactly the answer I expected. When I asked why it has taken 6 months and there has been no more work done the rep said he didn't know. So my question is, is there anyway of finding out why no more work has been done and why I have been offered a service that was in no way ready to be offered? Is it also possible to get a realistic timeline on this rather than the date just being put back one month at a time?

Anymore info other than the generic ones I have received above would be helpful.

    Thanks

    Hi Jobonar,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've been having getting broadband installed.

Do you have an active account with Eir at the moment?

    Thanks

    Tracey

    Hi Tracey,

Yes I'm an Eir customer. I currently have the NGB 8mb broadband but am lucky to anything higher than 1.6. Usually closer to 1mb. So when I was told I could get fibre it was going to be a major improvement only to be constantly let down.
