Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chelsea's midfield bossing the match, his reading of the game and defensive mobility has been poor today.

    Your raving

Chelsea have been good the last ten minutes

Utd have been the better overall

Been a pretty good game from a nuetral point of view. Better than most of the recent games I have seen. Lot of pressing by both teams high up the pitch. Both look to be trying to win as opposed to making sure they don't lose. Hopefully stays the same for 90 mins

Jesus this thread is poison, as said above keep it to the game and stop your bickering,

On the game, Chelsea looking very threatening, United very open at the back and have squandered a few good chances. Could and should be ahead. Mkhitaryan been v poor again, maybe not the game for it but Martial - Lukaku - Rashford would be the dream although it's great to have the bench from a United perspective.

Decent half so far for a 0-0

Agree, good competitive game of football. Really enjoying it, I have to say.

Chelsea dominating the first half and very unlucky not to be in front on the back of a woeful referee decision disallowing a perfectly good goal.

    Its absolutely desperate stuff.
Utd can't string two passes together and Chelsea aren't much better.

Let's get back to the game. Chelsea really should be in front on the balance of chances.

    ...and legitimate goals scored.

Hard for Herrera to be involved when he’s spent 40 minutes of the half on the ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭limnam

For all of Uniteds bus parking etc, defensively they are not really that good. Chelsea cutting them open here as Liverpool did at times only to fluff their lines in front of goal.

    1. The bus isn't parked.

    2. Liverpool created 1 chance.

    Loving your work though

Mkhitaryan has been a huge disappointment since he came to England was he this bad in Germany as well?

That was actually a better first half than expected. Think United caught Chelsea unaware by actually coming at them for the first 10 minutes, but it’s been mostly Chelsea since then. Bakayoko’s Miss was shocking.

Good open game as a neutral, the OG should have stood imho. There was more contact in the peno that was turned down.

Apparently he was great in Germany, given how Klopp rushed home from his holiday to tell him not to bother signing for Liverpool.

  • Best chance fell to Rashford
    Huge miss
I think he could have headed it to Lukaku also

It's generally what happens when a team plays anti-football. It was same back in the days of Stoke playing a similar style of football.

    No blinkers here

You are just clearly going out of your (ooooo) way to imply Matic is having a poor game when he clearly is not

He's been one of the best players in the pl this season

It was confirmed a foul once sourness said it shouldn't have stood.

    That's enough for anyone

    Whats anti-football?

Are we back at defending = bad again?

Ye but everyone understood why Stoke played that way.

This utd team is one of the most expensively put together squads in the history of football and playing the Stoke way.

If you told the utd fans when Alex was manager that in 5 years you will be playing Stoke ball do you think anyone of them would have believed you and defended it?

When you're more concerned about preventing the other team playing than actually playing yourself.

United are not playing Stoke ball. Either you never watched that Stoke team, or you never watched this United side. Or you aren't neutral. I'm going for the latter.

United always had good defenders that could defend. Never clueless headless chickens that havent a notion how to defend. Ian Holloway used the attack only method for Blackpool it led to high scoring games but relegation. No one can call defensive competence "anti-football" lol.

Also who is our Delap using throw ins to create goals more frequent than set pieces. United have no set piece specialist. Did you ever watch Stoke?
