I currently have a mortgage with Bank of Ireland.
I am only a few payments into it.

It is a split mortgage. 65% of the the loan is on a fixed rate, and 35% is on a variable.

My fixed rate is 3.2%, the variable at 4.5%. I was told these are in effect, separate mortgages, and appear as such in my 365 online banking.

Can you advise if it is possible to switch bank for the variable portion of this mortgage, BOI rates are very high.

    Hi Squall Leonhart,

Thanks for your post here on Boards.

This would depend on the individual Mortgage. You'd need to speak to our Mortgage team to check this for you. You can reach them on 01-6113333 Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

    Thanks again, Jane.
