New HiFi set up - sub €1500

    Hey folks. 
    Looking to get a new HiFi and was planning on this set up: 

    Marantz 5005 Amp 
    Marantz 5005 CD
    Rega Planar 1
    Q Acoustic Concepts 20. 

    Would you recommend that set-up and what cables etc would I need to go with it? 

    It's for a small/medium sized living room. Mainly listening to records.

    This would be a great set up. The total price including shipping would be 1065.99 euro.

    However if you're looking for something a little bit better I can do you a bundle on the same components but different speakers. I would recommend the Monitor Audio Silver 50 speakers. They usually retail at 799 euro but I can do a bundle price for: 1306.99 euro including shipping. These speakers are compact but are incredibly detailed and punchy. The new Silver range has been getting fantastic reviews.

    Does that package include cables. What about speaker stands? 

    How much of a difference are the speakers if I was to go for the upgraded package?

    The price would be €1299


    If you wanted to add stands we would recommend the dedicated Concept 20 stands which are €229 a pair - if you were going for the Monitor Audio Silver 50's then the Soundstyle Z2 will work really well and they are just €99

    I assume you mean the 5005 amp? The 6006 has finished and has been replaced by the PM6006SE UK edition.

    The total cost for this bundle would be:

    1069.86 euro.

    It was the Marantz 6006 amp - as I was looking of a digital connection so I can plug in my TV too. Is that right?

    That's correct.

    You would require a digital input to connect the optical from your TV.

    unfortunately the PM6006 is now discontinued and the PM6006 UK Edition is the only version available.
    Price on the SE edition would be £369.00
