Stand by it. Two shocks really Wright an Gurney. And we get that every year. The main challengers are still in the tournament.

Go over my posts and you'll see. Was convinced brown would beat Wade and also vvdv would beat chizzy. Knew Lewis was going out early maybe not to munch. Webster is playing cracking, consistent darts all year. You in lala land all year?

You said you put a 10er double on. Which I imagine went from speculative when placed to a "cert" after it came up.

Brown and Vvdv had shown little to show they could beat Wade and Chizzy.

Lewis has never been beaten in the 1st round here and has a very good record at the Worlds.

Webster has done well, Whitlock has done better winning 3 events and reaching the Grand Prix final.

    Stop spoofing your tripe.

Fair enough mate. You stay in your little sky hype bubble of shocks and upsets.

Yeah you pretend you've even seen Keegan Brown throw a dart in the last year.

You must be making a fortune with all these bookmakers outsiders winning that you think are certainties.

I don't bet much. If I do it's because I'm almost certain it will win.

Think Lewis will do well to be within 10 points of last nights average.

Could be a close one here.

    Agreed, not very heavy scoring.

Whoever holds their nerves the best will win

I think Lewis will feel more pressure

    Excellent 170 from Lewis.

Not the greatest match of darts that one, nerves really seemed to be at Lewis.

    Lewis played solid.

    Richardson was absolutely brutal though.

Peter Wright must be fuming at home.

    No I'm with you.

Love to see him get number 17 and retire on top of the world.
Or play on for another 5 years.....

He'll be annoyed because he knows he'd have beaten Richardson easily and that he got caught by Lewis on a very good day but the fact is he lacks the extra gear if an opponent puts it up to him and hits a really good average. He is very consistent around the 100+ but rarely scores above that and that is why he lost the other day.

It was the game of Lewis life which he may never replicate.

You are being a tad harsh on Wright because while I agree MVG, Ando, Taylor and Lewis have better A games he is more consistent than any of them bar the green guy.

Wright can still average 105 at times but doesn't have those crazy 110+ relentless scoring averages in the locker.

I'm a fan of Wright and you could set your watch by his averages which are consistently high. Just lacks that extra little bit at times like the other day.

Keegan Brown playing as expected giving Phil a practice game.

MVG v Barney and Ando v Taylor are going to be epic tomorrow.

Dare I say the semi finals in all but name....

Rob Cross the only player I can see having something to say about that.

99 was sexy with Brown sitting on 18 for the set.

Double 20,double 20,brilliant finish bye the power.

  • Registered Users Posts: 137 ✭✭kentoccfc

Another typical Taylor performance - but he’ll still need to up it a level against Anderson or MVG/RVB

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

    think barney beats mvg

Brown basically presented himself to Taylor. An absolutely awful showing.
