    Another 180, come on Willie

He wouldnt be here if he couldn´t hit a double. Obviously nerves are affecting him.

He's very decent at the treble 20s but when it comes to doubles he's brutal.

Darts is strange, throw away one leg and you forgot about all the good things you've done. He ain't getting a set here anyway, he's done

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,069 ✭✭✭DellyBelly

Well done. Hopefully that's the turning point

Not much use hitting them in the kitchen though is it.

Tidy legs from Willie. Sew it up now and give Steve something to think about.

5 from 23 on checkouts won't get you anywhere unfortunately.

    Unlucky but admirable debut.

First set cost him, he'll have nightmares about that

Are you trying to suggest he qualified for the worlds from his kitchen

    When did I say that.

If you can’t hit them on tv there is no point in hitting them at home. He’s on the tour since 2010.

He just isn’t any better than his current ranking.

You think the guy who qualified for a world tournament and is in the top 100 in the world in his sport can only perform in his kitchen?

Maybe a bit harsh MD, it was his debut, I thought he did ok

Coming from a regular forum vister I thought you'd know better. He's a lot better than his ranking. He's a carpenter 6 days of the week, rarley plays on the tour. Still managed to go deep in the uk open knocking out big names a couple of month ago

We'll agree to disagree, I have followed O'Connor closely for a while now and I genuinely think he will establish himself as at least a top 32 player, his approach and application recently are no comparison to the last few yeas where he seemed to be just happy to be on tour.

He is at his level and has been for a long time. A journeyman who struggles to keep his tour card.

Maybe some day he can have a deep run in a tournament if things fall right.

He did as well as I expected him to. I don't think he has more to come personally.

He has never proven himself to be a lot better than his ranking. You are hoping he might be.

He doesn't play because he knows he isn't good enough. If he was getting to the business end of tournments he would have jacked in the carpentry a long time ago.

Last 16 is not that deep tbh.

If he shows himself to be better in the next few years I'll hold my hands up and say well done. I just don't see the potential there myself.

For someone who's been on the tour for so long, this being his WC debut really surprised me.
