My brother has been driving a company car for the last three years and is about to change jobs. No car included in the new job meaning he has to take out his own insurance. Question is will he have to start from scratch with a no claims bonus or would the fact he has been driving on company insurance stand to him at all? Thanks in advance

NCB holds for 2 years so he'd have lost his.

There is a chance that he might get some credit if he gets a letter from co. insurer certifying 3 claims free years.

He’ll need letter from employer stating sole use of said car for all that period and separate Letter from their insurer confirming he as listed driver had no accidents/claims

Without the 2 letters he’s a 1st time driver again . Be sure he gets before leaving current job

Thanks for the advice. It seems kennco take company car driving into consideration he got a substantially lower quote from them but will advise him to get the letters suggested and shop around a bit more
