    The SAI SAC Cod Championships are happening in Youghal on November 18th

    Thanks to Henry's Tackle Shop for sponsoring this again.
    Just a reminder to put this in your diaries.
    Fishing will be 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm
    Entry is 20 euro plus 5 euro pools
    Juniors: 5 euro + 5 euro Pools
    Non IFSA members must pay an additional 20 euro to cover a Visitor's Card*

    Perpetual Cup and 500 euro for longest Cod.*
    Match Prizes.
    Pool: Longest Ray, Longest Flat, Longest Round (excluding Cod)

    Entries in by 8pm Friday November 17th. Please also let us know if you enter and then have to cancel, as beach has to be pegged in the morning.

    Would you encourage somebody who has never fished for cod to enter?

    Obv not trying to place anywhere but would be interested in the atmosphere

    Absolutely - get a big crab or maybe lugworm bait out there and you have as good a chance as just about anyone of catching the biggest cod.
