Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How did Toner get so bald so quickly?

    A razor.

SA look like they don't want to be there at all, was expecting a better scrap.

Long time to go. Our tight 5 bench options are pretty raw.

Sexton getting to experience the other side.

SA are going into Irish territory. I hope our lead is not diminished from a SA try.

Good defence......and great steal by CJ.

Great turnover by CJ. Not bad for someone "so small"

Brilliant Stander! Great defence all round. Aki really is everywhere.

Didn't recognise Stander without his trademark head strappiing. Is he trying to confuse his compatriots? :D

Saffers shift it wide so fast, pity they can't manage to hold onto the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

SOB is a bit quiet, doing some nice link work but wanna see him impose himself in defence and attack a bit more

Twice they have stretched our defense isolating Conway and managed to mess it up

They're lacking that spark in smart game management.

This game is made for Adam Byrne's aerial dominance from the wing.

    Stupid from Sexton

Please Ireland. Get a try before the half's out....if that's possible.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

    Advantage over? Nonsense.

How was there time for a lineout there? Time was past 40...?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ah pity we didn't get a score at the end. But delighted with that first half.

He didn't tap before he kicked to touch

Can't end the half/game by kicking to touch from a penalty. You need to tap it first then kick out of play.

As fine a first half preformance as I've seen from an Irish team in a long time.

Are we actually this good, or are south Africa a bit clueless.

How was advantage over? How have SA not been carded for excessive penalties? These questions, and more of the referee, after these messages from our sponsors...

There's a great balance to it, POM is doing really well in the lineouts and mauls, couple of good carries too, SOB is linking and starting to show with ball in hand the last 10 mins and CJ is tackling everything that moves and carrying over and over again.

SA look very poor though, they've no ideas in attack, very disappointed by them

Kearney had a class clean out on Lowe during the last few phases

  • Registered Users Posts: 392 ✭✭Sephiral

With a bit more ball, a tiring Saffa pack and a few more things sticking, we could run up a score here.

Great defensive effort. Henderson is outplaying Etzebeth. Which is nice.

Very very enjoyable. Some great performances that half.

Jesus wept! I can't believe how shìte SA have become as a rugby team. Their backs are a pile of crap, starting with their 10 Jantjes, who is just desperate, not to mention the fairly woeful wingers.

Ireland lack a little fluidity, but this could get very ugly, especially if Ireland score first after the break.

Ireland are playing like a very well drilled side. Nothing exciting but high percentage rugby. South Africa... aren't.

SA arent good but ireland are playing as a proper team, really good team performance. Toner and Henderson are having really big performances. Stockdale looks a natural at this level.

Lovely half. Not letting the saffers settle into it at all. Really suffocating them any time they get on the ball, but how often was that??

Delighted for Aki, he's really playing a big part here.

Forwards are dominating. Backs could do with a little more ball in hand.

    All in all?

First 10 I think all 3 put in poor tackles. Slowly grew into it after that. Last 15 they and Murray have owned it
