Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    So has Harvey Weinstein.

Pulp Fiction was pretty good in fairness. Credit where credits jew. I only managed to get as far as your post on the first page of a long thread. So I must ask, is she famous? Like a DJ or a cyclist or something? I've heard of that rascal Weinstein before, even before his hi-jinks were made public but Louise O Neill could easily be the name of the local teenage bike in a Midlands regional town. Or a thirtysomething doctor in Dublin... Dr. Louise O Neill. Both sound plausible enough no? Who is she?
Edit, if I'm on the money with the Midlands town slapper, and reference was made to fast food joints signature burgers, would she not be a 'mightymac' girl?

Uhoh someone asked who LON is on this thread. Don't worry harrybailey someone will be along shortly to ask why you're even on this thread if you never heard of her, that you're only pretending not to have heard of her and you are in fact LON yourself.

I'm sure Laura Whitmore has no preference. They're both American institutions, and if she is hoping to break America then she needs to know about them. They don't have Supermacs or Little Chef there though.

Seriously, I don't know who she is. The post I quoted is on the very first page. Some clown will probably have me splitting my sides by quipping Google is my friend.

Louise's problems with men stem from, in my opinion, the possibility that she might be a closet lezzer. Oh yes, a lezzer.;)
Consider this. She's had a few relationships with men, yes, but none long-term apart from a four year (by her admission) unfulfilling and loveless episode.
My advice for her is, without delay, to seek out a suitable wench of the lesbian persuasion with a view to romance, or maybe more.
After setting up home together, she would have a fellow feminist-on-demand to air her man-hating views with and possibly even an idea for her next novel. It could be titled 'The Feminist Inside Me' or 'Children Of A Lezzer God'.:D
As to the vital question of whether she's a Big Mac or a Whopper type of woman, I'd say, without fear of contradiction, that she's a Big Mac type of woman because, like the Big Mac, she comes neatly packaged but has no taste.:P

You actually think I scrolled through 6 years of her tweets?? Bless :p

You can search any Twitter account for any word in mere seconds.

For example, here's how many times Louise has said 'White men'.

Oh now I get it, she's the Ops ex and he's having a sly dig saying she's getting fond of the burgers... Bet she's still getting plenty of sausage though, that's usually the case anyways. No point in the op being bitter. It'll only tear him up inside and kick his confidence squarely in the bollocks. Poor guy. Doesn't give him license to call her fat on the internet though, that's harsh.

Asks her Twitter followers to do her debating for her in relation to a question asked of her on Instagram about the gender pay gap. "I'm too tired to murder him right now, any takers?" IE I don't have the intellectual capacity to debate or back up my statements.

Today was the first day I googled this louise cuz of the 100's of pages ye racked up talking about her on here and I've come to the same thought as I did when I heard some eejits had camped outside the hospital in England for 20 days waiting on the royal baby birth.

    "Little to be at."

When your on your deathbed you'll probably look back thinking I shouldn't have wasted all that time talking (in my opinion) sh1te.

Yep, because the "internalised misogyny" that men and some women suffer from is because of The Patriarchy™ © and still men's fault.

Some of Louise's intereview in the Sindo yesterday

Louise wrote in The Guardian in January 2015: "While identifying as a feminist, I starved myself and made myself vomit after meals in order to satisfy an idea of what I thought an attractive woman should look like. I called myself a feminist, but, in truth, I was buying into the patriarchy.

The same idea of attractiveness fostered by the very industry she went into, fashion? An industry mostly driven and consumed by women(the men involved at the sharp are mostly gay fellas). And it's still men's fault? As I've noted before; when one considers an industry of the male gaze mostly driven by and consumed by straight men - porn, the diversity of what is considered attractiveness is far greater.

Though really, the easiest, most accurate and direct translation of all of that is "it's always somebody else's fault". This is quite the common cry these days and not just in feminism. It's also present in more harder left leaning and "progressive" philosophies and of late in the right wing stuff too.

It's always somebody else's fault. The society, culture, parents, religions, the rich, politics, the poor, immigrants, not enough immigrants, consumerism etc etc. The idea that yes these can be influences, but personal responsibility - a very dirty pair of words indeed - can also be in play is something to be shied away from. The suggestion itself is attacked as "victim blaming". Of course all these "victims" must be venerated.

The "cures" for such ills of society are also externalised. Somebody or something must be called to protect us from on high all this terribleness. Some overseeing "parent" of sorts. An authority of protection. Maybe now that gods are more out of the picture they're looking to more local demigods like government and law and policed safe spaces and echo chambers and correct speak all that. And that's why I consider much of this politic and philosophy to be coming from an immature, adolescent starting point. When viewed in this light it becomes much clearer and easier to understand.

Did she use the facilities without making a purchase?

I really think from the tone of the post she actually went for a McDump instead of a McPee. I think we are all thinking that aren't we?

OK men and women alike suffer from this misogyny because of The Patriarchy™ © and it's still men's fault. Happy?

Happier. She didn't mention it being mens fault. In fairness you're not great at summing up peoples beliefs. You've twice ascribed beliefs to me that were not at all what I believed.
