Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I take particular issue at the trigger word "strike". It's insensitive to victims of domestic violence and has connotations of toxic masculinity.

I think "Universal Pedal Propulsion Instrument Device Stand" is more inclusive.

I agree, I'll get on to the Costa Rica FA post haste to get this amended.

Louise O'Neill 'Should pencil skirts be banned?

Yes, because pencils have lead, and 'lead in your pencil' is suggestive.

    She is and all...

    She's pro choice is it?

She brought up that Ulster rape trial. Why she bringing that up.

Are either of them wearing pencil skirts?

I presume they're not discussing how wonderful and useful men are.

I'd say that's not the first time that was said about her.

    I'll ask: what's a pencil skirt?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I know, I know, I learned all about it on boards before.
It's a tight skirt that tapers towards the bottom.

It's a skirt with a pencil on it!

Without a doubt Louise is sick of having to wear them whilst men demean her with their eyes!

Tell me she did not actually bring up the Ulster Trial?

The meltdown she would have if the vote didn’t go her way would be monumental

She'll gather up pools of menstrual personstrual blood and hurl it at every man within a 2 mile radius. Roisin Ingle and Una Mullaly will also donate.

Any idea if she asked Kay why she thought asking the wife of the Suffolk Strangler "if he had a better sex life, would he have done it?" is against the concept of woman empowerment? Or was she happy to shill her books as an author by any means necessary?

If the yessers win, as expected, she'll be jubilant and her next newspaper column will be a gloat-fest with a 'Victory for Feminism' headline.
But if the no camp should somehow prevail, there'll be a great weeping and gnashing of teeth and yet more anti-women rants and a call for pencil skirts to be banned unless the pencil part is unleaded. :p

Just listening now Keano. She doesn't seem too bad. The comments haven't much time for her.

If it's already tight, and then tapers towards the bottom, how do they get their bottom into it at all?

Rumour has it that they have to oil up and jump in from the top of the wardrobe.
The things we do for fashion eh?

I listened to a bit of that podcast. I had to turn it off as Louise didn't have a pop filter on her mic. She's one of those people who sound like they have an overly wet inside of their mouth so you can hear every tongue movement and over enunciated P's.
    Not a fan of that.
