I wish to appeal a yellow card for “back seat modding”

For reasons I won’t explain publicly I wish to conduct the conversation in PM.

I don’t know why the title says Arts so please amend.

The title says Arts because that's what you selected when you created the thread. I'm on my phone at the moment, I'll fix it when I'm back at my PC. What should it be?

As regards conducting your appeal by PM, I'm afraid that won't be possible. Appeals are conducted in this forum to ensure the process is transparent, so you have the choice of continuing the appeal here or if you'd prefer not to we can close this thread. Please let me know how you wish to proceed.

I'm sorry, but we just don't conduct appeals by PM any more and haven't for some time, so your choices are limited to those I've outlined above.

I should have mentioned that the first stage of any appeal is to try and resolve the issue with the mod involved by PM, so you may be able to do that without needing to take things any further here.

The mod feels the card is warranted.

OK, well please let me know if you wish to continue your appeal here and I'll ask a CMod to take a look for you, otherwise I'll close the thread.

    Thank you.

No problem, I'll ask them to post here whenever they get a chance. Could you please outline your grounds for appealing the card so they have something to work with please.

    On this thread

I had a poster attacking me.

I reported the posts and nothing was happening.

As a result I requested that they PM me if they wish to continue to direct their issues at me privately rather than publicly.

That didn’t work so I make a similar request for a second time.

I then stopped posting on the thread until the mod did eventually come along.

My point is I did not want to have a discuss that had turned into a personal issue rather than that of the thread topic.

I didn’t want the thread to get bogged down and go off topic.

I was asked a question by one poster before the other poster completely flipped it and turned it back on me.

I went by the book before asking the poster to PM me.

    My hands were tied realistically.

My record around here is pretty good to be honest.

No bother at all, will you please share the Pm conversation you had with the Mod where you tried to resolve before posting here?

    Certainly.

I’ll be a few moments if that’s ok and I’ll post all correspondence.

    You have received a warning
    Dear Cork Truck Driver,

You have been warned for posting Backseat Moderation.

Boards.ie has a team of volunteers who look after our forums and they are the ones who will give instruction or take action on a thread should it be deemed necessary.

If you see a problem with a post, report it and a mod will investigate.

Please see the Boards.ie FAQ for more details.

I didn't run her into the ground.

I was asked for evidence of maintenance payments by the DSP when i signed on and provided them, as for adding the child to my rent book,i wasn't aware what she had declared to them in relation to income.

So i think your comment is a bit unfair.

If you wish to continue to direct ire at me then please feel free to PM and not on thread.

Some posts require action and some are adjudged not to. We don't respond to every reported post but do keep it in mind in the context of future reports from the thread. Both of you got carded for backseat modding which I think is fair seeing as both of you were trying to direct the conversation in a particular direction.

    Regards,

    Buford.

By all means. The Dispute Resolution forum is the place for that.

Follow the chart and to speed things up, I believe the card was warranted so the Cmods can get involved sooner.

    Buford.

Card has been revoked after discussion between OP and the mod in question.

    Marking as resolved.
