Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is what you always get from Argos. Will they actually check stuff this time of year individually?
We've sent you this email as an acknowledgement of your order, which we'll now check.

Either way, nobody is getting this watch at this price. :D

*grabs popcorn for somebody crying about rights and sales of goods and services act, small claims court etc

Doubt we'll get it as it's not the first time it's happened:

    http://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/argos-refuses-honour-bargain-pricing-476120

That was on the UK site though and was widely publicised so had huge numbers ordering it. If we're lucky, they won't notice this one as it's only on the Irish site, so hopefully less of us trying to grab it.

2.2 The 'confirmation' stage sets out the final details of your order. Following this, we will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. Please note that this email is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Argos

    Ah well!

Ordered one. Nearly bought one for €170 during Black Friday.

Doubt it'll come through though. Hopefully the staff picking the orders don't communicate with the admin staff :D

Have a look on ebay for huawei b593. They are available now for small money, i see a polish seller on there selling factory refurbished new units for €50 + postage. You can put your prepay sim into it and decide if 4g suits your requirements for very little cash outlay and you can always get your money back by putting it on adverts if it doesnt work out.

Have you tried Amazon Warehouse? Picked one up on there last year for real cheap.

Alternatively if you have access to an old smartphone, I found using the phone as a hotspot is sometimes faster than the mifi option. Depending on the phone it might have a better antenna than the mifi unit.

Out of stock, best of luck everyone

Has anybody tried to get one in an argos store? May be a better chance of getting one there rather than online by using the self payment things.

Currys / PCworld were selling PS4 Pro Bundles with 3 games etc.. for £229 at the start of Black Friday, obviously an error but in the end they agreed to honour the price. Loads of people on HUKD got them on the cheap.

I spotted it originally on the stock checker terminals, it said you could only order at a till instore. Didnt check the self payment things though. As it happened, they were out of order anyway!

Titanium Link is dead. So looks like they've copped onto that one, are fixing it now and will cancel all of your orders. Only a matter of time before they catch onto the sport version as well. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,966 ✭✭✭Liamalone

These watches are all a couple of hundred quid on the .uk site lol. Good luck.

5 different orders(order 10 at a time), I wouldn't have had the patience to place 5 orders. By that time AIB would have sent me a text asking me to confirm them

    It's a beauty :)

Use it all the time for sat nav on my bike, or while backpacking in Japan (didn't have to carry my phone in my hand all the time).

Answer text messages using my voice. No need to charge for a week, etc etc.

Got it for €50 on Amazon.

Same here but i thought the voice control doesnt work outside UK/US though?

BTW ordered one (along with 5 lads at work) - will be interesting if we will ever see one. I choose to be naive :D
