Looking at buying a car at the minute, but if waiting until January saves me 000's, I'm all over it!

From an August forecast --> Euro and sterling now heading for parity, Morgan Stanley forecasts

If anyone really knew which way the £ is going to go they could make a fortune in currency speculation.Otherwise its just taking a punt.

I absolutely agree. But even if it goes to parity or not, there seems to be big value in the Euro versus the Pound currently.

Doesn't work immediately for the gift cards, you need to have the account for 6 months (I think)

Same predictions this time last year, I remember we were putting the Budget together inside and half the finance crowd were saying yes and half no.
It never happened, forecasts are not definitive

First line of the article states "The pound and euro will hit parity by the end of next year"

    So basically midnight Thursday night?

Is it different depending on the Amazon site? Like .co.uk probably at midnight our time, but .com may not be until 5am?

Any word on the firestick been available in Ireland, seemingly there was an announcement about them offering it to the rest of the world (without Alexa).
If so I would imagine this will defiantly be a black Friday deal

    Where was this announcement?

if you get prime to get early deal access is there still the problem where you can't get the over £25 free shipping to ireland when you have prime active?

    Next year.

There's never any deals or offers on consoles on their first year of sales. Especially one that has performed well sales wise.

I'll be picking one up around this time next year in Black Friday if there's a good offer. Otherwise I'll be waiting till January 2019.

I've more than enough to keep me occupied until then on other consoles.

Decent Xbox One S bundles for £199.99.

Several choices of games and should work out at about €225 if you use Revolut.

Are you sure it's not save 200£? CamelCamelCamel or other sites show no record of the price dropping to 200£...

Just chatted with Amazon there now, I've used my Prime Trial before so they asked me to signup and pay the £7.99 and then refunded me the £7.99 straight away.
AMZ customer service wins yet again...

Is there any way to filter current Amazon Lightning Deals to show which ones are ending soonest? There is only Top Deals, Price and Discount sorting options. There is the sidebar option for upcoming but for current, ongoing ones I can't find an option.

Cheers - I'm moreso looking in the €6-€700 range. Would prefer to get a Samsung or Sony or similar.

Best I've found so far: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-KD49XE7002-X-Reality-Enhanced-Clarity/dp/B0714NZ5Q4/ref=sr_1_sc_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1510960262&sr=1-2-spell&keywords=sony+49xe

And I was wondering why there was very little buzz about it today.

If anyone can travel to an Argos in the north there's a good deal on Hisense H50N5300 50 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, £379, currently £459 on Amazon. I'm near Enniskillen so I'd be gone if I had the money.! (Hisense H65N5300 65 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV is £799)

I wonder will they do the 20% off warehouse items or wait until closer to Christmas. I think it was around this time last year they did it

Looking back on my orders last year I bought a warehouse Nvidia Shield on the 24th November followed by a Dune Solo media player on the 1st December and both had 20% off.

I think 55" would be max my living room could take and no HDR is an issue. Thanks though!

I believe there will be more HDR content than UHD for the next few years. No HDR would be a deal breaker for me too
