Anyone with Ibernia Insurance? They are offering similar insurance to current provider for 300 less?

    Are they recommended?

I think you mean Ivernia Insurance. They look totally above board and they appear to want to only deal with low-risk motorists (age 30+, 5 years NCD, <2 litres) so good luck to them.

Are you comparing their quote with the number on your renewal notice? Phone your current provider and make them drop that renewal quote, they will drop the price if you're a safe risk which I assume you are if Ivernia has quoted you.

They are an underwriting agency as opposed to an insurer. Not really too sure what that means tbh.

If they can keep it going they will be very popular in ireland atm.i fear they will soon be pricing based on market going rate once they have built up a decent client list.

They are owned by the same lads who own Chill, AFAIK

So I would assume they are legit and above board.

Insured with them last week, all good.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Don't want to rain on your parade but simply taking your money and giving you a cert. doesn't really prove if they are 'good' or not.

When you go to change your car, add a named driver, lodge a claim - that's when you'll find out how good they are.

Case in point: its4women dot com by all accounts (several threads on boards) are a complete disaster to deal with. And we won't talk about that company in Malta.
