    Awards are overrated. Look at the bbc one, just as equally ridiculous. Don’t understand why the athletes themselves seem to take them so seriously, as if they can be that needy.

    Who was fawning over Katie Taylor exactly? Not saying there wasn’t, just didn’t come across much. Joe Ward is the one who lost out.

    Well at least Mo Farah did win some medals this year which is more than can be said for McClean.

    Mo winning, which surprised me a little, as he has had more successful years and didn’t win it, is still far more believable and credible than a soccer player who scored a goal.

    AJ, who I think was favorite didn’t even figure in the top three. Not a popular chappy it seems.
