    Hi,
    I need to get an SSD for someone for xmas. Most likely in the 500GB range.

    I have been away from the upgrading scene and haven't been keeping tabs on SSD prices this year. Amazon have the MX300 525GB for £115 currently ... is that a good price or should I hold out for something better on Black Friday ?

    That same one dropped to £80 or so last black friday. They also had a really good offer on the 750GBish one if I remember rightly.
