    Hi,
Besides penneys, can anyone recommend a good budget friendly, makeup brush set, specifically eyes is what im looking for, but if they come as a whole set (foundation, blush etc), thats fine.

    Hi Mel!

Can you expand on what kind of budget? I've recently been loving Zoeva brushes. Really nice quality, comparable to Mac and IMO budget friendly.

I think the complete eye sets are about €70-80.

If you wanted to keep things more simple, I recommend maybe picking up some individual brushes and trying them out. I really love the Real Techniques bold metal collection brush #203.

Whenever I'm low on funds and need a few pieces I go straight to Hairspray. I have every brush in their standard range and have no complaints yet. They're very reasonably priced anyway but I just checked and they are very much reduced right now.

They have a new MUA Pro range of brushes that I haven't bought from yet. They have a 'buy one get one half price' offer at the moment.

Also, I have every shade in their Matte Candy liquid lipstick range too. They're a fiver a pop but I always wait until they have 2-for-1 anyway, I love to bargain hunt. They're not quite as good as something like NYX Liquid Suede, but they are well worth the price.

I was thinking 50ish for a set, but you know, one or two from boots like the one you showed me might do the job, im pretty basic/brutal at makeup, trying to improve tho!!!

I've bought a few of that brush I showed you. I love it, so easy to use and it cleans really easily as well.

You're on the right step to improving, brushes are half the battle!

I'm gonna have a look at some of those hairspray brushes myself now!

Yes, I saw that. Happy I bought my stuff on Monday when I posted the link - you have to be quick with online sales!

I've actually already received it too :D

I know, I'm not even purchasing, just trying to get a list of things so my sister can pick something to get me and have a look at what to get her.

Did you pick up that brush set? I have it in the rose gold version, they are brilliant!

I'm the same, but I'm still going to have to buy the new oppulence set because they look fab! I can never have enough brushes.

I will have a look at that cleanser, always on the hunt for a new one to try.

Other brands I'd recommend are Real Techniques, Morphe or Spectrum for good quality brushes that aren't too expensive. If you manage to get onto beauty bay, they sell these!

    Hi Mel,

I'm no expert with make up, in fact I only recently enough started to make a bit of an effort to learn a bit more. With that, and a budget in mind, I went to BH Cosmetic's website on the advice of a friend and got myself a brush set, and another eye specific set. I don't think I can link to that as I'm only recently registered on boards. They're very affordable, and you often see make up artists in the reviews recommending them for students for example. Anyway as I said, I'm no pro but I can't really fault these - very soft, easy to use, no shedding in my experience (but they have a lot of sets so that may vary by set - my larger brush set is called 'Pop Art', and I can't remember the name of the eye set now).

I may at some point move on to more expensive brushes, but to be honest between these and a smaller Bare Minerals set I got as a git, I'm not even sure I need to right now. I can recommend having a look at the site anyway and seeing what you think. I also just noticed there are black Friday deals going on too :)
