Taking up Golf (again)

31 year old, did lessons and got into golf a few years ago for about months, played a good few rounds and enjoyed it but then broke a few fingers playing ball and never went back. Want to get back into it but never bought clubs as I got friendly with a Pro and he lent me a set.

Pro has moved away and we lost contact but looking at buying a set and getting back into the groove.

A friend recommended something like below a decent enough starter pack and then add clubs etc. over the next few years get the quality up.

Don't forget eBay. Combined with Parcel Motel (or similar). You can get some pretty good sets on there for very reasonable money and the shipping isn't a problem with the likes of Parcel Motel or DPD Parcel Wizard.

Talk to someone who knows what they are talking about and can assess your swing. A good golf shop or the pro shop at a club with a good size membership.

Jpx range from mizuno.
Apqs from titleist would both be decent second hand sets.
Try and find a set that u can borrow.
You won't loose much buying and selling.
