Packing a few presents for some grandchildren before we head over for dinner.

Can't decide which bottle of wine to bring.

    Definitely the best plan!

Making lunch for the impending arrival of a lovely bunch of people. You know the type of visitors that you don't feel you have to panic clean for.

Up bright and early. Lazy brekkie. Then little fella fell off a ride on tractor and I'm now sitting in care doc shaking like a leaf waiting to be called. His daddy is walkin around carrying him like a baby and he looks so small. I don't think serious but it's horrible seeing him so upset he can't calm himself.

Oh God what a fright, My 8 year old was climbing for popcorn last Thursday and fell flat on his face from the counter to the tile floor, he came in to the sitting room screaming, I started checking from the middle of his head and when I reached his forehead I nearly passed out, his forehead on one side was out past his face. It looked horrific. A bag of peas and loads of arnica and he calmed. He still has the bump.

Couchside, My 15 year old made scones this morning and a giant heart one for me, I'm so full but it was gorgeous. She's been missing me I think, so I'm enjoying the spoiling cos she knows I'm a bit heartbroken over the delay. Although, with the bit of mammy advice to the nurse yesterday that she's implementing he hasn't vomited last night or today and he's still working up.the volume. Wonder what'll happen next :D

Shouldn't matter, kids don't drink wine for the taste. Once it gets them hammered it will suffice. Buckfast might be decent choice. I was a divil for 20/20 when I was a little nipper, little naggins of joy.

    You're hilarious!

Back home and, despite the fine sunshine, putting a match to the fire.

Perse is on her way home and I'm on the couch in my parents' house with a serious dose of the fear. Somebody hold me.

not long awake from a 3hour nap. I needed that.
had a huge falafel wrap so belly full, and snug back in bed ready to sleep again.
only for there are kids outside at this hour enjoying the start of the midterm and the noise of them!

Whispered I'm glad your little fella is ok. You must have gotten an awful fright.

I'm in my bed. Ah lovely bed. I must have drank a tank full of fizzy drinks today and to think I actually thought I would remain sober last night.
I remember looking at the time and thinking "God it's only 9pm. I'll sip away on this cocktail for a while". Next thing I know it's 3am!

    :D

Lying in bed hungover as fook after a wild night. Bumped into a Dutch woman I know in a bar and we ended up chatting with 4 men (from Oz, Sweden, Malaysia and England) and an American girl until the wee hours. Feckin UN Convention.

Had gone out to get drunk to deal with the news I got that one of my best mates has cancer. So upset.

Now am hungover and upset but at least had a few hours respite.
