Couch. Sore knee. I didn't actually do anything to it but it feels swollen and I can't straighten it properly. Is this the onset of middle age?

Have ordered Epsom salts which I assume will help?

I walk an average of 12km a day so this is going to be a right pain if I can't get it sorted asap.

rest, ice, elevate and bandage. if no better in a day or so, get medical advice?

    I want a baby now :p

Bedside for nap. On second thoughts if I had a baby I wouldn't be having a nap unless they were having one too. If they didn't want one though that would be a conundrum. Or if I wanted to go for cocktails that would also be a conundrum.

    Ok I don't want a baby!

    :D

Just back in, I took the dog out in the back field to run off some energy and a neighbour was working in the next field. With his dog... a big collie, who of course took off after my dog at a great rate.. My dog is not socialised and I had no idea what the reaction would be.. She has excellent recall but kept losing touch with it to run with the collie... And the man had less recall on his dog..So there we both were, screaming at our dogs and i terrified in case they went for each other.

Waiting for the snarling... and the blood!

It was six of one and half a dozen of the other
    Mine leaped the bank wall!

Finally I got her to follow me in and he got control of his; and no aggression.
NEXT time I will reconnoitre before I go out!

    I want a baby now

I have some at various stages that I'd be willing to lend you for a while...:)

On the couch having last cuddles before the youngest goes to bed for the night..
I'm tired, Mr cbyrd offered to collect the lawnmower this afternoon and I was slagging that he'd have great fun at the weekend, to which he replied, no, not a chance. So off I went and cut the grass in a strop, He's still laughing.
I also vacuumed scrubbed the bathrooms and cooked and cleaned up after dinner, he's on a serious go slow today. Ah, I feel a two morning lie in coming at the weekend .. :D

    How's the view ginandtonicsky?

Every time someone posts about an interesting location I think that I'd love to see the view out their window. It's also the first thing I check out when I go to a hotel. I thought it might be a bit odd until recently I went away with a friend, we both rushed to the window to look out. So it must be fairly common.

Still in bed. Still sore. Still awake.

You can get in with me. I'm filled to the brim with flu meds and just want to stop aching. We can mind each other.

I'm in London, it's not that far :)

It's grand, fairly unspectacular tbh. A few high rise hotels and Al Wahda mall right across from me.

The temperatures are pretty mad over here, was 40 degrees this morning so am appreciating the hotel for its AC more than anything else.

Oh you're not too far away! I'll bring the Barry's tea bags! I usually like to be the little spoon but I'll make an exception just for you :D
