I need to upgrade from a Pioneer VSX-329 because it doesn't have HDCP 2.2. Any opinion on a RXV383 vs AVRX540BT?

I see the Yamaha will have Dolby Vision support with future firmware update where as it's unclear with the Denon.

    My speakers are Yamaha NSP40.

    Hi Doylefe.

No plans for the 540Bt to process Dolby Vision at the moment.

For this to benefit you would also require a screen that can support Dolby Vision.

For me the AVRX540Bt would be the one to go for currently priced at £229.00

Thanks, one thing I'm trying to do is future proof as much as possible so Dolby Vision compatibility is a plus. Any particular reason you like the Denon over Yamaha?

    Hi Doylefe.

For me I feel the Denon performs better in sound quality, which would be the most important feature.
