Best horse won - always looked like he was going to get up on the run in. Major pity alright - would have put me in black :(

Princess Bride is a well bred filly who ran3 good races last year. Was sent to Meydan in January as a 3 year old and was very disappointing in two runs.

Was off since then until running an ok race 6 weeks ago when racing wide and dropping to last before making up some ground beaten around 6 lengths.

Dropped 4 lbs now one would imagine the filly would have been culled by the powerful Godolphon team if she was useless.

Visored for the first time today this would appear her last opportunity to perform.

Suroor is having a quiet time but I am going to have a few quid ew at 11 to 1 in the hope that she can get back to last years form.

each way for change, lot of big priced winners + placers today.

2.40 Taunton One Forty Seven 7/1 Gen

Looks nicely priced for an each way tilt, with no obvious win contenders in this imo. Win or each way for small stakes, as only 2 places.

    'luck

Pity I didn't see this one earlier on, as was a couple of points bigger. Has a good chance here. Small Win.

Did you ever consider setting up your own thread for your fancy's ?
That way if anyone was interested they could read what your posting.
I think it's a good idea, can't really see a downside to it TBH.

1.23 Newcastle Miss Mahmite 7/1 . Each way on this one at a good price. First run over hurdles, and was running on well at the end of a bumper (after an absence) last month over 4fs shorter. I think the distance will suit anyway.

Chroi Old Girl 66/1 . Also each way. Having her first ever run at 6 for Jessica Bedi; who's a new trainer to the ranks. But mainly because I like the young jockey Mr A Anderson, who claims 7.

    2.33 Newcastle Tokaramore 5/1

All things considered, Iain Jardine's Mare makes most appeal in this moderate contest. 2 places on offer, but it's a WIN only bet for me.

    2.50 Southwell Agincourt Reef 20/1

Am really liking the chances of this 11yr old here. Dropping down the weights, a Class 5 over 20fs on a course he's won at before (won a chase before over almost this exact trip at Southwell) should all be in his favour.

His last 2 races were over 24 and 22fs in Class 5s on good to firm going, and the 2 previous to that were over 22 on soft and 24 on good to soft; both in Class 4s.

So while he's 11, and 'out of form' I don't think he's 'out of it' today. James Nixon gets the leg up for the first time taking off 5.

I rate this the bet of the day.

    4.15 Wol Turanga Leela 11/2

This inconsistent Mare is a multiple C & D winner, and is capable of winning a race like this easily on a going day. Hopefully today is one of those.
    Win bet is the recommendation.

    4.45 Wol Glasvegas 14/1

This highly tried 3yr old is worth an each way punt at the prices on his first run for his new trainer Dave Evans.

Hoping for a successful fri 13th

    Gluck all

:pac: taking the p1ss

Wash your keyboard out with soap and water. I'm a punting artiste  It's only after the fact that I will be appreciated :(

A maverick with his own ideas on how to make a buck, I gots my own notions - an artist like I said - An assemblage of form, price, hunch and many other things go into my selections, and if I want to insert some humour or bullishness then that has to be the way it is.

So 'taking the piss' , or 'on the piss' matters not; any 'discerning' "punting artiste" such as moi would tell you those is some right good picks...

The only 'tilt at a windmill' selection perception might be that 66/1 shot, but I've got artistic punting licence to throw a few like that up.

This game is no joke bassy, and like you I want to make some coin,

Hope that clears up any misunderstanding you may have.

    Leff
