Should I go ahead and install Eir Modem?

I recently agreed to switch from Sky Broadband and have just received my Er fibre modem. Do I go ahead and install the modem now or wait for instructions from Eir i.e. what is the protocol for completing the switch?

Thanks for getting in touch. Usually, when fibre is ordered, a technician is required to install the service. Can you PM me your account number and PIN please?
