Should road projects in Northern Ireland be funded by the Republic of Ireland?

Considering how badly they've taken the Derry-Belfast's bid for the European Capital of Culture being struck down due to Brexit, I can't imagine how bad things will be when they realise that the CAP payments aren't going to be made.

There are a lot of other infrastructural issues for Northern Ireland too around things like power, gas and telecommunication that still need to be figured out. Energy in particular is done on a very much cross-border basis. You could see energy bills rise if there's any issue on tariffing of energy flows across the border.

The same issue will impact Britain though as there's increasing dependence on France for electricity. Not to mention that most of their power generation capacity is actually opened by EDF Energy (The French ESB which is still state owned too) and up north it's owned largely by the ESB and Eirgrid.
