Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Having 1st trial Christmas Dinner run today for myself himself and herself!

Though I bought a frozen turkey that serves 5-7 but doesn't have a weight on it and my kitchen scales isn't industrial enough for it and don't know if we've a person scales packed away from the move!

So excited may even have a christmas movie in tbe background ðŸ˜

If you have two kitchen scales you can use a tray (or something) to balance the turkey over both of them. Then you just need to sum the weight shown in each of the scales, and deduct the weight of the tray.

We figured it has a 5 / Serves 7 so we have gone with the assumption its 5kgs serves 7. We also may have balanced a 5kg weight off a sweeping brush and hung the turkey off the end to try determine this to be true :o:o

I have been away on a course for a few days and returned home to find my OH had bought some fake holly and ivy and had it in the corner of one of the rooms. She's beaten me to it for putting up the first decorations.

Great to see the forum so busy.

Was my Mum birthday yesterday so present from Elf3 (youngest grandchild) was a picture of herself in a Christmas tree decoration. She now has one for all 7 grandkids :)

We are finishing up some diy and painting at the moment, trying to get all those sort of jobs finished in time to put up the decorations. The kids were bored yesterday morning so they ended up watching The Grinch (the Jim Carrey one). It was the first time the youngest had seen it. I must look out for the newer one and see how they compare.

Same for me. He was brilliant and unbeatable at presenting it. I loved how he took his time with products and the interviews, whereas Ryan rushes through everything.

I find people praises Ryan for doing the Toy Show. Personally I find him like a spoilt brat the way he throws the toys around.

Gay was great obviously, but I think Ryan does a great job with the kids. RIP Gay.

The guy in between them though was painful to watch - I refer of course to Pat Kenny *shudder*

Gaybo was a bit of love hate thing, certainly no saint, I won't derail the Christmas fun.

In relation to the Toy show I loved him but I think its like the best bond, it depends who you watched as a kid. He was my first toy show presenter so the best in my eyes.

Tried my hand at making felt Christmas decorations last night and it went well enough. I'm no Mary Fitzgerald but they'll do for friends and family. That's the next few weeks entertainment sorted for me anyway.

In seven weeks time. Presents should be delieved and I might have another quick look around the shops before they close.
I'd hopefully come home and watch a bit of TV and have some Christmas ham and look into a nice packed fridge.

Well I just got a surprise. Just been out walking my dog and passed by a house at the top of my road only to see a fully lit Christmas tree up in their dining room which I could see open.
