Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Re: trees. When I was younger my Mam always put the tree up the Sunday before Christmas. I'm pretty sure that's because we all went to boarding school, so that was the date we'd definitely be home to help decorate, and we wouldn't think we were missing out the decorating.

I've decided this year I'm going to make all my presents, except perhaps my wifes. I'm going to set myself a budget for everyone all in together and whatever I don't spend out of that on supplies etc will get donated to charity. I'm sick of all the waste and tat I end up buying people every year. I'm sure some of my in-laws will have an issue with getting home-made presents but tbh I love making things, I'm starting back my pottery night classes next week so I'll have ample time to plan and make stuff.

Aren't you doing a masters as well?! How do you get the time?! I'm seriously in awe of you! Its such a lovely idea though - homemade presents are lovely, all the thought that goes into them! Fair play B&C :)

Yep, studying for a PhD but in all honesty I NEED to do something like this. I work all day in research and then so much of my spare time is spent studying that unless I timetable in other things I just don’t do anything else. I need structure, and this way I get to engage a completely different part of my brain, get my hands dirty (literally!!) and create something physical. It gets me away from screens too as my main other hobby is playing video games. My poor eyes can’t take it!!

These are going on sale in Aldi in the UK in November. So there's a good chance they'll be here to!

It was in a Maxol/Mace so it should be in a lot of shops over the next few weeks. It was priced at about €6.50.

Never too soon. Should’ve been sorted at first interview :D
