how do people think these competitions are down re tasks. if vernon was blasting out multiple tasks, is it the team with the most completed tasks. are the other team going to resign and let vernons team have this one?

I posted a list of the players who were posting in-thread before the game's first munch yesterday. I gave a brief summary of their activity, as well as reasons why I thought there might be at least one wolf posting pre-munch on Day 1. Here.

Those early, pre-munch posters were Orla, Isla, Doris, Steve, Gabriel, Phil, Mary and Jake.

Just for the craic, I'm going to cross-check it with your above list...

Orla, Isla, Doris, Steve, Phil, Mary and Jake - Those names appear on both my list and yours.

Have we just identified the 5 wolves plus change?! Or more likely, most of these are merely posters who are able to partake in the game early in the day?

I reckon there could be a wolf on your list, mine too, but any more would be extremely lucky I think.

It is the first to do the task I would guess.
Either Vernon was first then the other team didn't bother or he was second and we missed the first task. Realistically I see little or no difference for us for this round. One munch in the morning and then the in-fighting begins again.

I just had a thought

If a villager knows they're about to be munched or lynched, might it be a good idea to reveal themselves right before they're killed, so that we'd at least know who they are?

It would have to only apply to villagers named in the OP, because it would be too easy for a wolf to claim they are an unnamed villager, with very little chance of anyone having the same role to counter it. So unnamed villagers on the chopping block would have to keep quiet about their role

The villager in question would also have to weigh up what the consequences would be if they were to reveal their role, thinking they're about to die, but in fact survive

And this is all assuming the wolves don't know the roles either, as they could pretend to be a dead character upon death, and with no one to refute them could swing the lynch votes in their favour

Yeah, I'd have given up my own mother on lynch day 1 if I could have, God help me if I'd been given a role! But where's the benefit to the village if you don't also have useful information to share? I'd have thought the risk is too great this early?

Hopefully the seer took our advice and peeked Derry.

Not keen on these safe lists they only point out targets for wolves.

BG do not protect me tonight I am accepting of my fate as group spokesperson.

Will be active with final thoughts tomorrow morning. Overall I think we're doing great, no munch was successful so far so village in great shape
