Our greyhound lies around a lot and becomes statically charged. If I stroke her and touch ferrous material I get a shock.

I've never been shocked by a dog before. Should I have her put down?

I'd get a shock too if you did that to me.

I have a similar problem with my niece. she has really long hair and I sometimes get a shock if I touch her after she's been jumping on her trampoline. Should I have her put down?

Yes get her put down. Worked for me on my granny when I helped her out off the car then got a shock off a Tesco trolley

Still miss her, but at least no more shocks

Careful OP.... we dont know who could be watching this.

America's enemies are at it again world wide...

Best hand the dog over to the US embassy so the yanks can "weaponise" the dog with such talents.

Most likly fire it from fighter plane at north Koreans at a later stage.

Wear thick rubber soles. Or else ground the dog.

No TV for a week and bed early without supper.

Change the carpet/rug that the dog lies on.

If that doesn't work, change your footwear...one of you might not be grounded...and it might be you, not the dog....
