Not seen earlier frames but Trump 85 % pot success- you don’t win many big matches with that.

Don’t like the format personally, but it’s no excuse for top players performing like that. Selby is Selby but Ding & Trump are just infuriatingly inconsistent and patently bereft in the mental department at times.

Neil Robertson 1-2 Mark Joyce They are saying on Eurosport that if Neil looses he won't be in the Masters.

Must be losing a big wedge of points when the next rankings kick in, assume a tournament win will be replaced. Still would seem unlikely but must know their sums you’d think.

Actually didn’t Robbo win this 2years ago? So he’d be losing that from his total after this event, think that’s how it goes anyway.

That’s it I think. As it stands there’s about 100k separating the 10th to 17th so does look tight for him alright, others will gain ground too if they outperform him this week. Only himself to blame anyway, head looks to be gone a bit past 2 years or so.

Robertson is actually playing really well this match. Joyce is missing a few all be it difficult pots. If Joyce wins he will have beaten Neil on good firm

Again going on Eurosport commentary Neil has to win to keep his chances alive for the masters. He is still not in if he wins. He has to do better than Ryan Day and they would be on course to meet in the quarters

Happy enough for Robertson tbh. Took 3 minutes over that shot, squaring up as if he was going to try and pot red off cushion , then ends up just tipping the red up the table. Left Joyce the simple safety and never regained control of the frame. Always a major flaw in his game imo.

Does the scots open not count for the masters? Mustn’t do the way they’re talking about it.
