    Just realised no John Virgo on commentary here. Or Willie Thorne. Did they get dropped for more McManus and Ebdon. Maybe for JV he is just busy promoting his book.

    McManus and Ebdon can be a bit too entusiastic at times for ordinary enough play.

    Willie has been sidelined for a while i think, apart from the Welsh Open which I think he does for the Beeb Welsh version, he’s pretty much out of the picture now. Could be, Virgo might just do the worlds now, look forward to his book, a guy with great stories to tell.

    McManus is good (writes a very good blog too) but Ebdin is useless imho.

    BBC requirement. Should never be mentioned until a minimum of 7 reds and blacks are potted and even then it’s not such a big deal as they care to make out anymore.
