Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I'm in 5th year and I want to be a secondary school teacher (hopefully geography and french, although I'm struggling to find a college anywhere which allows me to study that :/) and I just wanted the process of becoming a teacher explained simply to me.
    Thanks

Look for Arts courses. (General BA Degree)
    e.g.
    https://www.ucc.ie/en/ck101/
    That would be 3 years.

Then another 2 years on the PME for your teacher training.

Think carefully about what subjects you choose.

Geography might be good for other non-teaching jobs (County/City Councils, Dept. of the Environment, EPA etc.)

Talk to career guidance teacher (or a geography / languages teacher in your school too!).
