Pubs with a fire!

I'm freezing and dreaming of a hot whiskey in front of a fire.

Anywhere in town? Preferably south side as going to a gig later but don't mind walking a bit

Nealons. I don't know the street but it's across the road from Panti Bar and always has a roaring fire on. Lots of seating and a nice boozer.

The Long Stone pub just on townsend street/off d'olier street beside the old Screen Cinema. They've a lively fireplace in the back bar, I remember it lit very frequently last year.

Also Whelans on Camden street have a fire going in the downstairs main bar

Glad it had the fire. A favourite spot of mine too the odd time I pop in on a cold dark evening

Enjoy the Long Stone while it lasts, the building owner is attempting to evict the operator who has no current lease... so they can demolish it.

Long stone pub is closed down I think..or it will be soon. Its being demolished

Blackbird in ranelagh have a big fire and its a nice bar

The o.p. literally said she was having a hot whiskey in the Long Stone a few posts ago.

Its entirely true, realistically only how long it has left is at issue:

Like loads of pubs around where the building was redeveloped, something will reopen but it'll probably be a hotel bar.

Operator hasn't got any chance of getting a new court-imposed lease; they're clearly doing this to ensure they get the Christmas trade which will be substantial. I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the case in January.

Pub has been there longer than 30 years, not sure when it took on the current name.
