Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think the online learning for 1509 was much more relevant tbh.

May be so but may have been a litmus test to see how much folk wanted it and who was throughother.

Like someone said above Assumption makes an Ass out of you and me.

Maybe it was just a fourth outstanding to complete? They still have a few weeks to submit in FT2.

Potentially but then that wouldn't be newsworthy enough information to be passed on....

I find it very hard to fathom that a over a squad (we now know this to be a 5th) of those fast tracked (or indeed in the PSNI managed stages) did not complete the online learning, from personal experience I had a call to push me to complete me whilst still having 2 weeks to the submission date. I am not discrediting Gee2 information, if it’s teue then better for me. I just can’t believe the complacency of some who proport to want this career

Well if they where like me they would have had it completed a few hours after their PCA

From the sounds of it, a few hours smashes it out?

Aye, sucks the life out of you though.

Its clear there are a few people hungry for this career in this forum but candidates outside it may be on the fence.

If you cant fully commit yourself to go forward and snatch this opportunity, missing a deadline for the online learning would be a way to agree that it wasn't for you. Get out of free jail card. If that makes sense.

This forum does help keep the fire in your belly.

I have no support at all from family and I dont plan to tell friends for as long as I can. And you know what it's tough.

Yeah - as things progress those who are on the fence will fall to the side and better to do it at this stage I suppose, rather than continue through selection and training and then drop out.
People are bound to have other things going on in their life and maybe the Autumn 18 recruitment might better suit some time wise - weddings, travel plans and family commitments etc can all influence and family can put the pressure on even more if they aren't 100% on board.

The massive gap in people joining the police has actually massively worked in our favour

I'm guessing after we get confirmation of vetting/SMT, we don't receive any further communication until 'the phone call'?

Great to see movement. Can’t remember a campaign moving so rapidly.
