I think they’ve not long started

Yea that's why I asked. Just curious to see what they think of it all.

Also interested to see how many was in the August intake? I know it's normally 50ish but they are getting down the merit list quicker than they can get them in I'd have thought.

Hi guys,I’d say it’s been answered here before but I can’t manage to find it.do you turn up to the PCA in the clothes in which you will perform it or are changing facilities provided to allow you to get changed before hand?

Most people arrive in their PCA clothes. I came in work clothes and changed beforehand in changing rooms. So you can do either.

Just the district at induction from what the August starts said previously, you find out your station when you start in GV

I'm quite surprised that they've already got to 550 for PCA appointments. I thought it was only going to be up to the required amount on the list. Hopefully this means that if we all pass the managed stages it's just a case of waiting to get appointed as opposed to competing with another merit list for next campaign :o

Anyone with a merit list of 280-300?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24 maybecop18

Question for those who have got the call.
First off how long from you done your medical was it until you got the call, and secondly how long from the call was it to your start date??
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 38 JECornette

Please someone respond, keep the boards alive!

  • Registered Users Posts: 161 ✭✭Ze0tech

There are to many in betweens to answer that question. It all depends on how long vetting takes and what your merit number is.

To answer your first question, there is no set time as after passing the medical you still have to pass vetting which is different for everyone.

Probably best not to answer second question. You will know when you need to know.

I can understand the Vague responses.
    Better question then.
Anyone know how lenient they are in giving a weeks holidays in GV.
Me and some mates are talking about going skiing in February, but dont want to book it incase I get in and they dont give time off.

From what I believe leave is only given in very specific circumstances. Ie wedding or funeral. This is not gospel btw. I'm not at GV
