Just following back to somones post about districts. Somone has said that lurgan was the response station in that district so that’s where you would be heading. Does anyone know what the response station is in the rest of the districts.?

    Ards for North Down

    Lisburn of Castlereagh

    Newtownabbey for Antrim and Newtownabbey.

Cheers. Smothering else to consider. I thought if you picked a district it was a lotto and also what station was a random as well.

Once in your station you can ask to move. There was talk on this board previously, on this thread actually that people in Newry have asked to move to Downpatrick. I think its 20/30 pages back or so maybe.

Well..... Not exactly true..... Far be it from me to ever doubt the accuracy of your information xxx

For instance PSNI's website would suggest that LPTs are based at both Newtownabbey *and* Antrim.

Check out the link to see where your LPTs/response teams are based. However, usually probationer constables are sent to the one station, *usually* but not always.

You can appeal in your station in last couple of weeks in GV as they do give you some time to try and organise your life. And you can also appeal after 6 months I believe of you were originally unsuccessful.

That's not necessarily so. Using the Lurgan example I know of at least one person going to another station in the same district.

I know it's easy for me to say as I'm not waiting on the email but it seems like it's going in quite quickly. I remember someone saying 56 days to go and more than half that time has gone already :)

    Question for serving constables.

Jobs like Youth Diversion Officer are they actual specialist roles or do you still work in your section but are nominated a youth diversion officer?

    Or similar jobs like it.

Don't keep track of them lol as they don't me pestering then in an already stressful environment.

Plus if they do have exams this week why would I add additional stress to them?

Considering you get two chances at each exam phase. If you fail the 2nd attempt that's you back squaded or binned.

Be disrespectful for me to do so.

Bit of an odd question matey.

If I can give any advice. Practice your side steps (like footballers do with cones).
In the PCA video the woman runs and turns around each cone after the wall.
You don't have to do it that way. Side stepping is ALOT quicker. Just set up some empty bottles in your kitchen or garden and practice :)

Where you okay time wise? Did you do much training for the PCA, and if so was it necessary?

Wasn't as quick as I thought I would have been but still got a decent pass.
Yea I've been training 4/5 days a week since IST results.
Definitely think some sort of training is a must even just for the confidence.
I just train at home though not in a gym, I have some equipment in my garage.
I can honestly say though today was first time I've ran this year. Apart from playing with my dogs lol.
