Ah look I know exaclty where you are coming from, but the world in general and sport in particular has changed, the bottom line in pretty much everything now is $$$$

    Agreed danganabu.

My young lad is starting to watch the darts and use the board in the house and he asked me why were they booing. I had to think before I answered it!

I'm obviously biased as I'm probably older than most on here but the 80's was the best decade for hair styles, fashion, music and darts. :)

You're also right on the money front but after watching Barneys performance last night maybe some of them have become too comfortable!

Barney is only in it because if the Dutch crowds and viewing figures

Really annoying and frustrating when "that" Barney turns up which is a lot more frequently in recent years.

Looks like he's completely lost interest

2 losses for MVG in PL. Both to the bottom player. Funny game at times

Record broken for most ton plus out shots in one night I'd say?

Smith probably won't make the playoffs now he will be livid

After all the mediocrity of the previous rounds that was a bit of a tonic

Pity Ando didn't hit that D12 would have made a right night of it

Fecking sky box never recorded Wednesday nights darts for some reason. Barney and van gerwin both nervous towards the end. Good win for Barney there

Michael Smith just beat Gary Anderson to play MVG in the premier league final.
10-6 played well and didn't crack...way MVG played against Cross earlier Smith might have a shot at beating him...though I think MVG was dragged down by how poor Cross was...

Fairly boring stuff so far with a subdued atmosphere.

Hopefully we'll get a decent final

I agree regarding the crowd, they don't seem up for it.

Seems to be a lot of empty seats.

    Yeh agree with that.
Listening to Smith interview after, he just is glad to be in a final...dont know if that will relax him to play well or the opposite.
Here's hoping for a half decent match cos this year's PL has been pretty brutal throughout.

Just home for the final. Hope Smith can play like he is capable of but think the van gerwen factor will play on his head. Hope not though because when he's throwing like he can he's something to watch

Well done Smith, I just hope he sticks with MvG and it's not a bit of a procession.
    Be quick whatever happens.

Smith not playing bad but finding himself 3-0 down. I can't see anything but an MVG win.

Both such quick throwers great for the viewer

    Smith needs a break soon.

    Phenomenal by MVG

MvG in the zone. Smiths fast throwing just plays into his hands.

Just no sticking with MVG when he's carrying on like this...unreal darts!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 614 ✭✭✭TheQuietBeatle

Smith playing as game is over already. Deflated.

MVG playing very well but Smiths final was the win against his mate Anderson.

    thank god its over
the 02 is a terrible venue for finals night
all 3 match were non events and never got going
very boring but that sums up the entire league really

    Nail on the head!

Very boring altogether but it didn't help that the scores were so one sided

MvG is making some money out the game. Another £250,000 last night coupled with the £25,000 bonus. He also won €25,000 last weekend at the Euro tour event in Holland.

He's over a million pounds ahead of second placed Peter Wright on the 2 year money list.

And he didn't even win the world's, unbelievable money.
