What are the best Rock & Metal album releases of 2017?

It has become a tradition at this stage plus it’s good seeing what Boardsies have been rating highly every year. I'll start a poll thread with the most nominated albums in a few weeks where everybody can vote for the overall Album of the Year 2017.

Just released today but new Glassjaw first impressions are really good obviously haven't digested enough though to consider for this I guess. FWIW Epica's "Holographic Principle" would've defo up there for me last year but again released towards the back end of last year and actually didn't give a spin till this year.

Not a bad year at all, IMO think releases from QOTSA & Arch Enemy were severely underwhelming tbh. Stone Sour was decent not a patch on the HOGAB duo all the same.

Look forward to seeing suggestions I may have missed.
