Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The one part of the world cup that I really haven't liked has been just how weak the referees have been.

The constant surrounding and whinging towards the refs could be stamped out.

All it needs is a ref to tell the players to go away and if they don't then book them.

Been going on for far too long.

It should be a red card. It'd soon stop then.

Captains only or red card. Simple.

Agreed. Have the captain as the "spokesman" for the team.

‘Lingard can’t control’ seems to be the most common phrase on bbc.

    What does Eric Dier offer?

Rose on for Young. More Spurs players on the pitch in these tense times is the last thing England need.

That was a huge chance for Falcao.

Colombia winning every header in England box

Ironically, England would nearly settle for penalties now.

In fairness they need to start putting some pressure on Columbia.

We look dead on our feet. Penalties might be our best hope now. Which isn't great, given our history with them.

I've never understood the hype about him, to be honest.

    Another dive

I came into this WC wanting to support England, but my exposure to the English media has put me right off them. Just have a look at BBC live text and you’ll see what I mean. English fans and pundits referring to Colombia as cheaters and calling them to be fined. Let’s be honest, both sets of players have behaved disgracefully, and if you want to accuse anyone of cheating, look no further than Harry MaGuires dive to try win a penalty.

At least 5 England players have dived to buy free kicks.

I can't see the logic there at all. Why do you let the nonsense from the media cloud your judgement on the team? It's not the team's fault what the media write or broadcast about them.

You get a fourth sub in extra time.

Good move. Wrong man on the end of it though.

Lingard hasn't touched the ball in a good while, should sub him. Walker can barely walk either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,405 ✭✭✭Lukker-

    England settling a bit.

Stupid that they don't use VAR to settle things like that corner not being given. Why did Dier even touch it anyway?

It’s my exposure to the English media, I’m following the game on BBC live text, like I have all games I watched, and listening to Terry Butcher and Danny Murphy on Radio 5 live, and the Twitter reaction is excruciating, It’s making me want Colombia to win this just to spite their arrogant and biased views. It’s shallow of me, I know, but I can’t help how I feel.

Seen a cracking post on a forum in the UK. "Dier is that poor he can't even give a corner away properly".

Just saw the goal. Would it have been saved with no man on the post, contrary to the advice of all pundits?
