Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sweden offering nothing. England should be further ahead but aren’t and who knows may live to regret it.

Deli Ali is very lucky to be keeping his place. He’s been awful th whole tournament.

Sterling you just never feel confident with him in front of goal(in and England shirt).

    Sweden look really really poor.

Boring match. An English 11 barely better than an awful Swedish side. To think one of these will be in the semi final.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,225 ✭✭✭marklazarcovic

He's the same rubbish finisher the last 4 years, how do you not improve with coaching?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,610 ✭✭✭IncognitoMan

Sterling man, he still hasn't learned how to be clinical in those situations. That could be a big moment in the tie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,464 ✭✭✭✭Blazer

That and the immaturity of many posters on here who fear armageddon if England are successful!

lol my old fella put up he was supporting England on facebook as he was born over there which I had forgotten about. Plastic paddy..I wouldn't mind but he was sent back to Ireland after a few months to be raised by his grandparents.
I still gave him abuse even though I supported England when Shearer was captain as he was going to win sodall with Newcastle.
Wouldn't bother me at all if they did win it. Its mainly their press who overhype the team.

shocking from sterling...2 players to pass to for a certain goal and he takes it himself. Bring Vardy on for him.

    Rashford be better I'd say.

Could put him wide if they decided to change formation.

Sweden are an absolute rabble today.

England’s set pieces are impressive AF. Got to say it was a smart call investing so much in it for tournament football.

They’ve probably made the semis exclusively relying on penalties and corners

Sterling one of the worst finishers I've ever seen, his legs are too fast for his brain. Ali awfull too.

Sterling was tidy enough last season but he can’t produce for England

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

I like Forsberg, but I don't think it will be enough to dent this English side.

He’s tidy. No end product though

Sweden have nothing at all in the final third, no threat to England.

Harry Maguire’s giant head is man of the match.

He had 10+ clear chances a game a game at city last season. He hasnt improved a bit since 2013/14 only gets more chances at city

It reminds me of a game like West Bromwich v Stoke in terms of quality, but with Sky trying to tell us its a big game

What a deft pass by Lingard!

Terrible from the keeper, should have claimed that before Ali, comfortable for england

England are going to win the World Cup aren't they?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,842 ✭✭✭crushproof

Ah keeper! Easy win, Sweden are a shambles, no cohesion whatsoever

Jaysus the BBC are engaging in out and out verbal masturbation at this stage :)

    Good save by Pickford!

Don’t think so. This side of the draw will only decide which of them lose in the final.

I honestly think Croatia could beat anyone left.

Harry Kane would've had a goal there except he winced like a coward

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

You just know Ibrahamovich is watching in LA thinking "Zlatan you are wonderful"
They should have bought him still

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

I wouldn't be so sure of England losing to Croatia or anyone in the final that easily.
Croatia haven't even taken to the field against Russia yet.

Olson is poor enough in goals, has no urgency to come off his line, got away with it against Sterling's offside but just watched it come across.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,607 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

It's like watching Wimbledon v Watford from the 80's. we can only hope Croatia put them out.

Ignore the fact he provided the assist for the second goal...

    The agenda is clear :P

They're all saves a keeper should be making.

I doubt the guy has read a book in his life anyway! (and I am not saying that tongue in cheek either!!)

If Fergie said Charlie Adam's right foot was worth £10m, how much would Trippier go for?

    Henderson bossed that game imo
