Please advise on Secondary School in house move situation

    It is time for us to search for a school for our DS. We have planned to move once secondary school is finalized and then buy house near school (budget not suitable for city centre and inner south Dublin) - suburbs around Dublin or peripheries along M50.

    Our main aim is Academic rigor as DS is not into Sports.


    We understand that

    --involved parents make the biggest difference

    --all schools follow the same curriculum

    --happiness of child matters the most etc.


    Some of the schools we have in mind ( North to South ) and where there is a chance ---

    Drogheda Grammar School
    Pobail Setanta, D15

    St Vincent Castelknock
    Newbridge College

    John Scottus

    Bray Educate Together Secondary



    We understand nobody will have children in all schools and cant compare, however we welcome comments on any / all and any addition to this list whether fee paying or free. Thanks
