    Be very careful filling out your own application. There are silly ways you can get caught out by the system.

    Had a forestry eligible parcel in 2016 application. The department deleted it when listing my parcels for the 2017 application so I added it back in but there was no Forestry eligible or Forestry 2009 option in the parcel use list box so I declared it as Forestry with the normal claim area. Now they won't pay me for the parcel. What a stupid way to lose money!

    Wrote them a letter. Will see if it does any good.

    As long as you planted it after 2009 you can make a claim every year as long as you satisfy some conditions on page 59 of the booklet. I don't know if it will be that way forever but might be to incentivize afforestation.
