Can anyone recommend a decent mp3 player with a radio. I've an old creative zen which is close to dying. I'd like a small one with a screen so ipod shuffle too small but ipod nano just right (both discontinued). The sony walkman seems to get bad reviews

if you don't need the clip facility that is on the clip jam and clip sport you may be better off getting the fuze as you have the option to put rockbox firmware on that. rockbox adds a lot of advanced features. it's pretty easy to install.
if you could source a sandisk clip zip you can rockbox that.

if you want to go a step up in audio quality then the
FiiO X1 (2nd generation) for about 100 is good. also has bluetooth.

Probably too late for your initial question, but i highly recommend these, especially for the proper price.

I love buying DAPs and earphones, i have a large collection, and some portable amps.

I do not use my phone for music so much, almost never.

They are all the same system, if you can (and probably may) find it for a lower price grab it. It shot up when it started getting more recognition. The real price is between €30 - €40.
Great sound from it, and it is a decent DAP. I got it at €32.

The prices on all the decent Chinese DAPs tend to skyrocket when they get good feedback.

Many of the Ruizu players are less than €20 and well worth trying.

There really is a lot of players to sift through (hence your question )

RUIZU X06 gets excellent reviews everywhere and the X09 gets very good reviews. Both of them are under €20.

BTW, it is evident in many players that they (and a whole heap of manufacturers) tried to mimic the sansa clip after the chip was discontinued, as is apparent here

It also should be mentioned, that Ruizu do not really make them to sell to individuals. They manufacture them for other companies, but often release their players on the Chinese market which are picked up by Chinese stores like Banggood, Tomtop, Joybuy, Tmall etc..etc..
