Council house approval

Hi I meet with an officer from the council lady week and said he say I showed interest on a house and he was meeting with me and others to decide who gets the house. He said I would know this week, that I will receive a letter. I'm wondering will you still get letter if you don't get the house and if u don't get the house…

I'm wondering will you still get letter if you don't get the house and if u don't get the house and show interest in another house are you more graunteed to get that as we have met with the officer already, that it's a good start.
I would like to know if we can get ready for christmas or hold off till we are in council house.
