Anyone any idea on cost of converting the attic of a 3 bed terrace house average size - to a room- also how long would this talk Also solar panelling installation? Ballpark cost Worth it?

20k for attic conversion give or take depending on spec.
May only be classed as study/storage as most cannot meet the full Regulations for habitable room.

Sold depends on whether you want thermal or PV. Bust €5k, maybe less.
