Hi, I'm going to a 60th birthday party in a few weeks and was wondering whether I should bring a gift, and if so what? The person is a close relative, but I've no idea about the protocol here. Do I bring drink (party is in a pub) or what else if anything. Thanks.

Funny I was thinking of that or a selection of 6 Irish beers.

The only issue with the beers is the presentation of them.
