Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a cheap one from amazon but never used it! May look into it and see what its capable of!

On the dinner it's actually hilarious timing. I'll be missing United. Then there's another lad invited who's a Pool fan and the other person we work with supports Inter. All playing tonight.

I see Conte bit on Jose's clown comment.

    He will love that.

....so did Conte just assume Jose was talking about him?

Why would he think that?:D

Personally I immediately thought he was talking about Klopp.

Me too if anyone should of had a bite it should of been klopp but to be fair conte is a psycho on the touch line.

Personally I immediately thought he was talking about Klopp.

The press have "caught" Conte once or twice like this already this season, getting replies to comments not about him.

For what it's worth, I took it as Jose talking about himself tbh; that he's matured and isn't acting like he used to himself on the touch lines.

    What is the big picture.

    Managerial honors
Manager of the Month 4 times in 4 years

6 points and 4 less goals than United despite everyone of their front 4 better than United's.

Arguably you would want to be looking at the average spend of tottenham vs United, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and even Liverpool - and then see where Spurs have finished in comparison to them over recent years.

This season is, imo, a poor one for Spurs in the league.

In a points per pound calculation I believe Spurs are well over-performing.

Didn't Moyes do great with a limited budget too at Everton?

Points-per-pound, is this yet another alternative league?

Would that be net spend? :p

I just assumed he had his predecessor in mind when saying that, and if people would prefer him falling over like a clown playing to the crowd.

I dunno, doubt it was about Van Gaal. He was a very reserved manager, that bit of gold was very rare for him. Sure he took loads of stick on this very thread from the lads who enjoy the clown show on the sidelines to prove their passion.

Klopp and Conte especially, Pep would be up there too but not at those two lads level for it.

The likes of Romero, Lindelof(I know he has seen plenty of action lately but is still integrating), Blind, Herrera, Miki etc all need game time so not surprised to see them. Would prefer to see Pogba rested but I guess Matic needs a rest big time he has looked very tired and Jose probably doesn't want to play a midfield of McTominay and Herrera, which I can understand.

I'd be tempted to play Tuanzebe though in defence and put Blind and Herrera in midfield with Miki ahead of them. Still not a great midfield but gives Pogba a rest and gives Tuanzebe some game time.

Rashford needs a goal so playing him up top is a good idea, he should be able to stretch the defensive line too with Lingard to leave space for Miki and Mata to exploit, ideally.

No game for 10 days after this though, so I guess they can rest then? Or is there a stupid international break?

Maybe. I’m surprised there aren’t more players featuring that..well haven’t featured much if at all. So many games so close together lately, although I didn’t realize we had a 10 day break after this. Derby are in fine form too so I suppose understandable. Would have liked to have seen Axel given orefer nice over the likes of Blind.

The bigger picture is the club back challenging for the league and champions league while playing attractive football... also uniteds budget is huge compared to spurs. Jesse lingard earns around the same as harry kane!!!

And I'm sure you would have been praising José for giving the youngsters a chance even if things went tits up.

I would have liked to see like to see some youngsters but I'd prefer get through tis round.

    Willock is in Holland.

Where does the idea that these young lads should be involved because it is a Championship team come from?

CBJ is on his second loan to that league without getting picked. They are not automatically better than players at that level. Remember Bristol City where Joe Bryan looked like the 30 million player, not Luke Shaw.

The like of Axel need a loan move to the right club or consistent involvement with the first team.
