That's ancient I'm afraid! Pops up every time there's cold weather.

Overall not a bad cold spell, three days lying snow at 9am and a sub -5c minimum also.

Alot of the snow here has now thawed, just an odd bit in northern slopes under trees and north facing roofs of uninhabited houses.

Perhaps if the snow showers tomorrow night materialise for lower levels, this thread might be resurrected to include that?

Still very chilly in Dublin, the canal beside my work is only thawing today. Dublin mountains still looking very white.

I thought the temperatures in Dublin were a good bit warmer today definitely up to the seasonal norm

Just FYI, there's a new thread available.

Sleet and snow possible basically anywhere, but mainly high ground and in the north west.

Just drove old N6 from Loughrea to Ballinasloe, lots of snow still lying in fields / gardens from Sunday, and mounds of the stuff in ditches from where the road was cleared.

Intensity doesn't really have any effect in such saturated conditions. We need lower relative humidity for the water to evaporate into.

The problem here is just a combination of the marine layer and low altitude.
I was saying as much just before your post. We should call it the "can't dry clothes in fog" principle or something :D
