Saeros quietly retrieves the cloak of Tuminzes and slips it into his backpack.

"Othegre, can you move undercover by day? Get to Ekbards cart and sleep. We shall talk of your new self when you wake at sunset. Now, lets get after the scouts."

Ekbard agrees to Saeros' plan and retuns to his Menace.

Ekbard, when all have boarded, chases to catch up with the group.

Digital Solitude

I'm going to follow along, not far behind the main group, but I watch Othergre a lot of the time.

Fourier

Five hours into the ascent, the air is crisp and cool, the snow falls very gently, not yet a blizzard.

Goodie, a good bit ahead spots six creatures, darting about in the air. The largest of which, a male?, has taken notice of the group. They adopt a predatory stance.

Right now the party cannot see the beasts, but Goodie knows they have not spotted him.

Saeros straddles AlanTracy and the cart roars to life like a thunderbird before settling down to a magical silence. He moves inline behind Ekbards cart and reminisces about the lost opportunity at the tourney.

Xanthea is in her position to the rear of the group, shadowing Elin. She keeps taking glances behind her, in order to check that nothing is closing in behind them.

Bandylegs, who is at the front of the group calls softly for Goodie.

'Is the way clear? Where are ye lad?'

Ekbard says to Bandyleg, "So,maybe, we ask it what is the answer to life, the universe, and everything..."

Ekbard, noticing the flash arrow, halts the party.

Ekbard scans the area for any dangers.

The flash arrow shatters close to the head of one of the smaller ones and the entire pack let out an awful shriek. The male darts looking for the origin of the arrow, but cannot see it. The group of them land in the snow confused, trashing about.

The party now notice the creatures, who land within running distance.

Bandylegs spies the creatures and calls out to them.

'Ahoy! Be ye friend or foe?'

He readies his hands to cast a spell at the first charge.

OOC: May as well try to talk to them?

Ekbard urges Menace ahead and attacks the creatures.

"WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS?!" she yells at the group.

The male turns around slowly, the ground shaking from his steps.

He speaks into BandyLegs's mind.

"A dwarf, greetings, we feared something else, the temple atop has been changed as of late."
