Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Garda McCabe

No it's people to SOLVE it, not people who are actually killed by coward scum. Anyway we know who did that... Pearse McAuley, Jeremiah Sheehy, Michael O'Neill and Kevin Walsh.
    Keep up.

The detective reminds me of the The Colombo Mafia family, the smallest of NY's five Crime familes.

Based in Brooklyn for the most part. An estimated 123 made members in 2017 with a 100 odd associates.

Tony Sirico who played Paulie "Walnuts' in the Sopranos was an associate of theirs in the 70s

I'm not sure how we'll get around the fact that they can't really work anywhere that's not underwater. Maybe we'll have to wait for global warming to do it's thing and my town will be under some melted ice caps.

I'm not sure. Someone experienced in gangland shootings - someone from The Wire maybe? He'll have his work cut out for him whoever he is anyway. Off the top of my head I can think of 10 unsolved murders within a mile radius over the past 8 years.

My personal favourite is DCI Tom Barnaby but he might be a little out of his depth, being more used to the idyllic (but lethal) setting of Midsomer.

    Columbo all year long :p
He acts the old ejjit but dead wide. If he were real and you committed a murder. Just give up.

If Columbo says “just one more thing” you know you are fu*ked.

John Nettles as Tom Barnaby, not the new one. I'm surprised anyone in Midsomer is left alive or that people still choose to live there with such a high rate of murder

I haven't watched the new one much, I didn't realise they had different names.

    I had picked Bergerac originally

Commander Sam Vimes of the watch.

He'll solve the murder for you, but he'll probably not want your thanks - just want to get home in time for tea with his wife.

Jonathan Creek. But only if he leaves his sidekicks behind who were (mostly) very annoying!!

(Caroline Quentin wasn't too bad, but the rest, especially Sheridan Smith were bloody awful!!)
